• Award Winning Jeweller Cathy Stephens creates Jewellery in her Nottingham store.

Award Winning jeweller Cathy Stephens visits her Nottingham Store.

Award winning jeweller, Cathy Stephens, will be spending a week at her Nottingham showroom in Flying Horse Walk next week (16 to 23 June) when she will be available for commissions to design or re-design bespoke jewellery pieces.

Cathy mainly operates from her home city of Leicester, but each year comes to the city for a special Nottingham Design Week when she spends a week at the showroom, that she’s occupied in Flying Horse Walk since 1990, to meet with customers and take new commissions.

Cathy Stephens Jewellery specialises in using platinum, palladium, 18ct gold and silver and incorporating stones from old or unloved pieces or sourcing fine gemstones to create beautiful pieces jewellery for all occasions.  In addition old gold can be exchanged against any commission or item from their extensive range of silver, gold and platinum jewellery.

Cathy was made a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths and given the Freedom of the City of London in 1979, in recognition of her work in design.  This accolade allows her to drive her sheep over London Bridge, a right she decided to exercise in 2016.

''I really enjoy making pieces of jewellery for people,” said Cathy.  “It has never felt like work. My favourite projects are always meeting people and hearing the stories behind their wishes, whether it is using stones from inherited pieces with much sentimental value or creating a unique piece that exactly reflects the occasion it is celebrating.''
Meetings by appointment only.
